Have you had experience with design guides?
If properly constructed and maintained, the design guides would be a living document and contain the collective corporate knowledge relating to its designed components.
As part of this topic, how would design guides be used to maximize their impact on an organization?

Without formal design guides, there would be an imprecise measurement of the goodness of new designs. Does anyone reading this blog have a way to give a very high confidence that new designs incorporate all the necessary corporate knowledge?
